Sponge-Jet is the world leader in Sponge Blasting. The Sponge-Jet Sponge Blasting technique is used in various sectors, e.g. the oil and gas industry, offshore, petrochemical, defense, monument conservation and the energy and nuclear industry for surface preparation and maintenance work. The technology is able to achieve the highest quality standard for blasting surface cleanliness (ISO 8501-1:2007 SA3) and can produce surface profiles from 0 to 150+ microns. It is widely used on metals, alloys, concrete, stone, wood and composite materials. It is a multi-functional system with countless possibilities.

Chromium-6 Paint Abatement

It is possible with Sponge-Jet Sponge Blasting

Sponge-Jet is officially recognized by the Inspectorate SZW (of the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment) as a technical control measure to potentially apply when blasting chromium-6 paint layers. Sponge-Jet effectively contributes to the implementation of the occupational hygiene strategy, which involves the (legally required) application of all technically feasible control measures.

Here you see the Stationsbrug of Middelburg (Netherlands). This bridge has been partially treated with Sponge-Jet Sponge Blasting during renovation work in 2019.
